i have the feeling it's not really finished yet but i'm kinda stuck.. so critiques are welcome.

this one took me around 2 or 3 hours i think (not in 1 go) inspired by tom scholes!!!

How do you do the painty/oily luminous effect? I'm trying to learn to speed paint for various reasons, but I'm only using the standard photoshop brush and colours and I'm really lost on how to get this sort of thing.
also.. Tom Scholes, yea I'm watching him too. XD

i used the smudge tool heavily on this one, just make a new layer on color dodge or some thing like that and smudge it out.
Just give it a try.

I am personally going back to the basics since i need to learn the fundamentals

It has helped, thankyou very much! Of course, i'll stick to the basics, but i'll practice this for the times when I need to work on fast paintings as well.
